Ruby on Rails and ASmallOrange is definitely a partnership made in heaven. While initially they had and have some problems, they really got things sorted out quickly when I opened a support ticket and that was it. Once they marked the ticket as resolved, the entire RoR started working without any delays.

I have been with them for 6 months and they offer great customer service. The service is online and the easy of use of cPanel has helped me lift the website traffic which is really important to me in an organically grown business. Really good service provider, one I don't mind spending a little extra on.

I feel very lucky that I was able to buy a hosting plan with ASO, although I must admit I didn't feel like it... since it was my last few bucks. ASO's support team really made a big difference, they helped me tremendously in getting setup. I love working with them, as because you can easily and quickly access support resources, or even their support team. They are simply fantastic in that regard, In the cons, they are a bit pricy but they do have a super control panel... so Im not sure... what is worth more, a few bucks a month with less resources or lots of resources with few support.

Every time I send over a support ticket; these guys are on it. Like nothing I've ever seen before. They are just blazing fast with their replies and have the answers to all of the questions you want answered. Love their service; I don't ever plan on leaving their service.

I agree with quite a few of the reviews that are posted here, they state; stay away from ASO... I have to unfortunately agree with many of them. As a web developer this pains me to say, but the reality is that if their offline.. its not gonna help me build my business or that of my web hosting customers. They are currently offline for at least 5 to 20 mins per day and that's quite annoying and complicated for me to deal with. I had requested that I was moved to a different server, which they kindly did... but that didn't help me either... so not sure if I should just pack it in and move somewhere else or what I should be doing here?!

I've dealt with a lot of complicated situations in my life, having a bad web hosting provider wasn't going to be one of them. As a result, I made the switch from my old web hosting provider and choose ASO. Granted, they are a bit more expensive than the avg web host, with less resources, but their also better than the avg host with uptime and resource availability.
