Upon successful connection to your web hosting account via FTP, you may notice certain messages that appear within your FTP logs. These messages, that are output upon connection, provide you with some additional information pertaining to your FTPs configuration. For example, you may see the message outlined below:
"Your bandwidth usage is restricted"
The above-mentioned message means that the bandwidth allocation is restricted for all FTP connections on the server. This restriction is in place to prevent FTP connections from consuming all the allocated transfer for the month.
