How do I restrict the number of simultaneous connections?

Simultaneous connections are used to increase the speed of files being uploaded. Rather than uploading a single file at a time to your web hosting account, the FTP client will instead upload multiple files at once until it reaches the pre-defined limit.

To make the necessary adjustments to the maximum and minimum simultaneous connections that are permitted to your web hosting account, please follow the step-by-step process outlined below:

• Open the FileZilla client FTP application
• Then click on the "Edit" and then onto the "Settings" options
• Once under the "Settings" option, click on "Transfers"
• From there, locate "Maximum simultaneous transfers"
• Adjust the value to "2" and click "OK" to save the changes

CyberDuck:

Unlike its counterpart, CyberDuck has already addressed the maximum concurrent connections by limiting the default maximum to "2" simultaneous connections. At this time it isn’t possible to make adjustments to this limit, but future versions should have this feature available.
