Magento provides a unique and easy way to adjust themes, based upon the requesting device. For example, should the requesting device be an iPhone, iPad, Android or other device, another website theme could appear, than if you visited the Magento site via a PC. Please see all the steps outlined below:
- Ensure that you have chosen a Magento Theme
- Next, Login to your Magento Admin Panel
- Then go to "System" and onto "Configuration" and "Design"
- When under "Design" click on "Themes"
- Under "Themes" click on "Add Exceptions" beside the following labels:
- Label 1: Templates
- Label 2: Layout
- Label 3: Skins
- Next, input the following line, using the option "Matched Expression" field:
iPhone|iPod|BlackBerry|Palm|Googlebot-Mobile|Mobile|mobile|mobi|Windows Mobile|Safari Mobile|Android|Opera Mini
- Finally, in the "Value" field, input the name of your newly installed theme
- Next, save the changes
You may now visit your website via your PC and cell phone, and you will notice that to separate themes load when visiting (based upon the device).
